In my first large format drawing, created in over 350 working hours spread over 4 months and drawn with 12 different pencils and dozens of pencil leads for my mechanical pencils, I present a visualization of some of the most formative events and milestones in the 16 years of Bitcoin's existence so to date.
Months of grinding, layer upon layer, with nothing but pencil and unrelenting will — birthing a gothic portal into our present age.
Angels, old masters, the earliest legends of the Bitcoin era, symbols and events that future generations will only encounter in history books and that will fill their imaginations with awe and wonder about the beginnings of this new era—all this and much more is contained in this groundbreaking Bitcoin art history.
At the center reigns the symbol that is redefining the world: ₿
Embraced by cathedral architecture reborn centuries later — this time not for kings or princes of the church, but for the first true, hard, unbribable truth in human history.
In my inaugural large-format masterpiece — forged across more than 350 grueling working hours over four relentless months, wielding 12 distinct pencils and countless leads for my mechanical precision — I unveil a monumental visualization of the most pivotal events and milestones that have shaped Bitcoin’s first 16 years of existence.
As always, my signature style reigns supreme: hyper-detailed, filigree precision fused with an obsession for ancient architectural grandeur, dramatic realistic shadows, and sculptural plasticity that makes every line breathe.
Hidden within this gothic cathedral of graphite lie numerous Easter eggs — cryptic numbers, loaded words, potent symbols, and subtle portraits of iconic figures from the global Bitcoin pantheon. Only the initiated will spot them all.
Here are just a few of the deliberate details embedded:
• Craig Faketoshi Wright & Hodlonaut — the infamous clash of claimant vs. challenger.
• Hal Finney — first recipient, immortalized with “Running Bitcoin”.
• El Salvador — the nation that dared make ₿ legal tender.
• The Bitcoin inflation schedule — etched as eternal code.
• The Blocksize Wars — the great schism that tested sovereignty.
• Bitcoin Pizza Day — the moment 10,000 BTC bought two pizzas… and proved the dream.
• WikiLeaks — when censorship met its match in orange code.
• Free Ross — the enduring cry for the Silk Road pioneer.
On deeper inspection, even more secrets reveal themselves — subtle nods, layered metaphors, and a handful of symbols that transcend pure Bitcoin lore into broader human themes. The trained eye and the Bitcoin-native mind will uncover them.
Every square centimeter of this oversized work carries Proof of Work within it — exactly like every Bitcoin block that is painstakingly mined.
No plotter. No AI. No compromises.
Only graphite, time, and obsession.
