This extraordinary pencil artwork is a true one-of-a-kind piece and bears the title Bitcoin - Declaration of Peace. With filigree precision and exceptional richness of detail, it creates a multi-layered, symbolic composition that presents Bitcoin as the path out of oppression and division toward peace and freedom.
At the center dominates a powerful, modified interpretation of the ancient Laocoön – the famous Hellenistic sculpture depicting the struggle against overwhelming forces. Here, however, the central figure – still bearing traces of torment – tears apart the chains of the fiat system and decisively breaks out of the dark “Matrix”. Surrounded by exploding rockets, falling currency symbols ($ and €), and debris of war, poverty, and greed, it embodies victory over inflation, control, and deception.
Engraved directly on the body of the Laocoön figure are the words “WAR FOR PEACE” – a bitter, incisive inscription that exposes the complete madness and profound paradox of governmental and state logic. “War for peace” – an oxymoron that has served for centuries as justification for military aggression, surveillance, and oppression. By placing this contradiction openly on the skin of the central figure, the work reveals:
As long as fiat money is printed without limits, this perverse cycle of war in the name of peace remains inevitable.
Below the central figure, smaller, meticulously drawn figures gather – people from different social classes, from ordinary workers to scholars and dignitaries. They symbolize the broad population that, through the deliberate and system-engineered division, is repeatedly kept trapped in the illusion of the Matrix. These figures appear captured, deceived, partially blind, or chained to one another – a striking image of the artificial division maintained by fiat money, propaganda, and centralized power structures.
Dozens of small, delicate dollar bills frame the central scene like a dense, chaotic rain. Each individual note is drawn with painstaking care and devoted handwork using a fine 0.35 mm mechanical pencil – an impressive testament to patience and craftsmanship that simultaneously confronts the viewer with the absurdity and transience of fiat-based currency.
Above, the Bitcoin symbol reigns as a radiant, liberating light, flanked by angels, historical figures, and baroque architecture. The inscriptions lend the work prophetic depth:
• “As long as fiat knows no limit, war knows no end” – the central warning against unlimited money creation.
• The mathematical formula ∑_{i=0}^{32} 210,000 / 2^i = ~21,000,000 for the immutable cap of 21 million Bitcoin.
